![]() Starts at 185k and slowly climbs (I've never measured resistance before). Measure the resistance of the resistor near the crystal. It looks good from the bottom of the board. (Check visually and maybe try reflowing all those components.) You may want to check the state of the clock crystal (the metal can) and the two capacitors nearby. Some, but I've scrubbed it all with isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush so it looks pretty good now. This may irreversibly damage the inputs for two of the buttons. Also, never plug the LCD board in or out when the power is on. (Need to use the headphone jack since the builtin speaker is on the LCD board.) Make sure the volume is turned up. Try turning on the motherboard without the LCD daughterboard plugged in and see if you get the po-ling sound through the headphone jack after 1-2 seconds.Try reflowing the pins on the CPU marked in red and confirm that those are shorted to ground. ![]() Not all capacitors on the board are connected to the same power rail, though, so I marked suitable ones in the image, the ones near the top of the board, not the ones near the crystal.
